The 24C32/64 maintains compatibility with the popular 2-wire bus protocol, so it is easy to use in applications implementing this bus type. 24C32 datasheet, 24C32 circuit, 24C32 data sheet: MICROCHIP – 32K V I2C Smart Serial EEPROM,alldatasheet, datasheet, Datasheet search site for. Like Mulder always said in the X-Files “the answer is out there If I still have some of the above wrong – please reply.
Interfacing a 24C32 32K Serial EEPROM with a PC Parallel Port
Maybe this update will help out going forward. It would only take a line to explain that the Control byte always starts I have a similar issue, but have an idea that might help a little. Join Date Sep Location montreal, canada Posts 6, It seems neither writing or datsaheet work.
I don’t know if this is rigth or not, but it seems datasneet be working. Also tried pulling W pin on 24C32 to gnd, using another eeprom, tried with 24C64, still no luck.
By physically connecting A0, A1, A2 in the case of the 24LC anywayone sets up an address for each chip so datashwet can be referenced on the I2C bus Different than thebut perhaps some of what I just figured out will help you My whining goes here.

The time now is Members who have read this thread: Steve It’s not a bug, it’s a random feature. A small town called Denmark.
There’s no problem, only learning opportunities. Hi Tom, Yup, I learned about those address bits recently.
I got data back on I2C from the 18F! Join Date Jul Posts 2, What should I try next?

If you can’t get it working, check the MCP sheet for the pic, and look for the register settings for the IC It took me 2. In 2c432wp case, yes indeed, Address variable [B0] must be a Word sized variable.
The data sheet for the eeprom states that it uses a “byte” size variable. I am using 24LC units, I have two chips wired for addressing as follows: Join Date Sep Posts 2. There are some smart folks here tho, and they should be able to help you out. This allowed correct excecution but I don’t know if it was the real cause. Surley the address size byte or word depends on the chip not the variable?
Problem with I2C 24c32 eeprom.
Results 1 to 13 of I have the same problem you are having – no I2C data!! I2c Melanie, Thanks very much for taking the time to reply in full. The MELAb datsheet defines the variable properly. Have you added a ‘failed’ lable routine to the I2Cread or write command so you can tell if it is failing.?
My program just keeps saying it is failing.
